Names of historical romance novels with harems or being sold?

It's been a very long time since I was into the romance genre. But I remember reading a book in the early 80's by Bertrice Small called Skye O'Malley. However, if you're looking for light romance, this is not it. This one is more a pion and unbridled lust kind of book. She gets sold into slavery and spends time in a harem in Algiers. I think there were a couple of sequels to the story too.
